Welcome Nursing Alumni!
Since its inception in 1982, the nursing programs of FIU’s College of Nursing and Health Sciences (CNHS) is extremely proud to have graduated more than 4,000 accomplished alumni. Graduates of the baccalaureate and master’s programs range from registered nurses who serve the community in patient care to attorneys focusing on healthcare needs. The Alumni Association's mission is to break down the barriers that prevent great students from becoming great nurses.

Alumni Application

I am excited that you have found your way back to FIU. Your alumni association promotes lifelong relationships among all alumni and is dedicated to advancing the College's commitment to help the community serve the health needs of minority and underserved populations and. Connecting with one another, you can assist in addressing the current nursing shortage and expanding educational programs to reach more students whose passion is to serve those in need. Our graduates have shown their commitment to South Florida and beyond through their community involvement and interdisciplinary achievements. Our more than 4,000 alumni have been active members within their communities and earned some of the most prominent positions in the healthcare field. Through your active networking and participation in the Alumni Association you can strengthen the value of your education and the College's ability to continue its tradition of excellence and social responsibility.

Stay Involved
Make a difference, get involved. Check out the many service opportunities available through the Nursing Alumni Association who give back to the community and FIU as volunteers and leaders.

Student Mentoring
Meet and interact with our future nursing alumni and help them with their career goals and aspirations. As a mentor, you help define the level of interaction and work with students to coordinate a flexible schedule for mentoring activities.

Student Recruitment
Alumni participation is key to FIU continuing to attract the best and brightest students. Alumni are needed for various recruitment activities both in and out of state.

Chapter Development
Alumni chapters are chartered organizations of the FIU Alumni Association consisting of alumni and friends that support the goals and mission of Florida International University. The Association is always looking for leaders to help existing chapters as well as those on the horizon.

Special Events
Planning for the many events the Association coordinate annually takes a lot of effort and energy. Having alumni volunteers for many of our major activities really make it a team effort!

Alumni Giving
